Getting better results than Crimson is not much of an achievement. It's like the lowest bar possible. But it's still satisfying as hell lol

The MMA community seems to be very divided in regards to how the fight was scored. I see a lot of different scores on twitter and even the media that scored this fight are not unanimous on who won this fight.

Everyone I know that bets on soccer loses money. And I'm talking guys that have been diehard fans of the sport for 30 years. No way I try to bet on a sport I haven't even followed for decades.

Mike Bell got his retirement fund sorted right there. He doesn't have to work a day in his life after this.

Ah there is a trick to it my friend. Of course I will tell you.

If you like a side you bet them, but bet them as a draw no bet play. The odds are still usually decent.

But the best play is betting on how many goals per game, or if a goal is scored in both halves. Or even if both teams to score.

With a little bit of research you can get a feel for it pretty quick.

You can make some pretty nice parlays and I've been making a lot of money.

Better than betting the right side on an MMA fight only to have Sal D'Tomato or Mike BellEnd screw you over at the end.

Yup. Welcome to the new reality of MMA betting.

It's clearly rigged now and worse than boxing.

Every week, every event It's blatant cheating now.

What you said about betting goals scored is exactly what my workbuddy that is heavy into soccer betting told me but he still loses money and he is balls deep in the sport, knows the name of the dog owned by the 3rd masseuse of a division 3 team.

I think they should give out more 10-8s. I think it's goofy as **** from a spectator's perspective that two very different rounds can be scored 10-9s. If a razor-close round can be a 10-9, a round that has a conclusive winner should be scored 10-8s more. I think complete maulings should result in 10-7s too more often. The scoring criteria in fighting in general makes no sense. But sports like boxing and kickboxing have more logic behind their scoring usually. MMA when it's scored on a round-by-round basis has the most inconsistent and nonsensical scoring criteria in combat sports period. It is insane. Not arguing who should've won tonight, not arguing what rounds should have been 10-8 or not. But 10-8s in general should not be nearly as rare as they are.

@MikeLovesTacos XD
You can't really compare MMA to boxing or kickboxing. Those sports are very easy to score, because it's purely striking and zero control time. So scoring on control and grappling isn't really a thing. There's still a grey area in MMA scoring and this won't be solved if they keep appointing boxing and kickboxing judges. Even judges that have a wrestling or BJJ background usually have a different scoring mentality as opposed to the judges that are used scoring fights with more striking. They just need to properly educate judges. Make them visit gyms and make them participate, so that they have a better idea how it is to be in a certain position or know what kind of damage a calf kick actually does.

The judges they have now are also old and still have that old school mentality. Sal D'amato is a good example of that. He used to be a boxing judge for years. He now has been judging MMA for about 10 years and still scores fights terribly. So it's about that time the commission does something about this.

Just re-read what you said and wanted to add that allowing judges to loosely score a 10-8 round for a fighter that decisively won a round will actually result in situations that you have even more skewed scorecards with different scoring. The interpretation (especially with current judges) are just not the same for every judge. This is exactly why I said that they should just reform and actually educate judges for this sport without appointing judges from other sports.

I'm extremely surprised for the vast majority of comments saying Shevchenko won crearly. I mean she barely won R1 maybe for the 20 seconds takedown after being overclassed on the feet, then the 2nd got dropped, she beat Grasso in the 3rd for a close 10-8 but also got beaten pretty bad in the 5th Grasso had 25 more significant strikes in that round and 50 total strikes so is pretty basic 10-8 the 5th. And the fourth the round that decides i am so surprised of two judges and many here giving that round to Shevchenko  because it was a very close round on numbers but the damaging shots knees and clinch were all for Grasso so i think:
R1 Shev 10-9 Grasso
R2 19-19
R3 29-27
R4 38-37
R5 46-47 Grasso won

That's the basic why to score this fight and there is no way Shevchenko won the fight the draw is absolutely generous!

Shevchenko absolutely won rounds 1, 3 and 4. And there's no way a reasonable judge would ever score the 5th a 10-8, just ********.
